St. David (1868-1905)

  1. I did not know that there was a difference in sail shapes. Or rather I had never thought much about it before. That is what happens when you do not go sailing.

  2. There are very many technical terms in seaman's language, I do not know for most of them what they mean. Well, I love the Sea, but I'm living sooo far away...

  3. At least you are closer than I am; I live 20 hours from the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic and 29+ hours from the Pacific. Of course I live only 2.5 to 3 hours from Lake Superior, there would be sailing ships there. (Though at the moment the main road to Duluth is under construction and it takes about 5 hours to get there.)
