Góða Ólavsøku!

Góða Ólavsøku! Alles Gute zum Sankt-Olafs-Tag, dem färöischen Nationalfeiertag! Sicher mit vielen Fahnen - doch keine ist so alt wie die erste aus dem Jahr 1919, zu sehen in der Kirche von Fámjin.

    According to http://flagspot.net/flags/fo.html the white color represents the pure sky and the foam of the waves, red and blue are traditional Faroese colors. But the idea of sheep sounds good - but maybe it would be a discrimination of the black ones...
