It is so strange. I use Goggle Chrome as an internet browser. So when I come to your blog it translates for me. In my comment above I typed Friday the 13th, but I have it set to translate the whole site. For some reason it translates Thursday to Friday. I find that so odd.
I made a similar experience: When I wrote a comment to a Finnish Picasa album, Google translated "Suomi" by "Irland". Don't they know that there are lots of differences between Finland and Ireland...?
By the way, I have an idea about the Thursday / Friday confusion: I checked the day of the week at http://www.fourmilab.ch/documents/calendar : In 1307, the Julian calendar was valid, and it was the mentioned Friday, but if looking at the current Gregorian calendar, it is a Thursday! Obviously Google wants to be a know-it-all - and fails...
I hope they realize the major differences between Ireland and Finland! I know that they cannot set up every word combination, but I wonder why they translate somethings the way they do.
Some say the reason the number 13 is said to be unlucky is because the Knights Templar were disbanded on Friday the 13th in October of 1307.

The Middle Ages were a brutal and tough time - though sometimes I don't know if it has become really better nowadays...
