Kiitoksia paljon, Ulla, pidän hyvin sinun patalapustasi, ja iloitsen jo leipomisesta ensi kakun!

Why does Google Translate think that today would be my birthday...? It's my name day, at least if I would live in Finland.
AntwortenLöschenHow often do you bake a cake? It is a lovely potholder! Happy Name Day!
AntwortenLöschenHonestly, rather seldom, only a few times per year. Though, I do think about it much more often. Well, this year I was very lazy, I think I haven't baked any cake at all. On the other side, it was not my best year, but the future looks much better again, so let's see...
AntwortenLöschen... and thanks for your Name Day wishes!
AntwortenLöschenJust a question: Are name days popular there? Do you know when yours is?
AntwortenLöschenDo you use a recipe or a mix to make your cakes?
AntwortenLöschenI think some Catholics might have name days here. I am guessing that they would celebrate them according to the country that they came from. Otherwise, no, we do not really celebrate them here. Also, Ronda is a fairly rare name.
Mostly I use only a cake mix, my favorite organic grocery store has some very delicious mixes and the other ingredients like eggs and butter are always organic, too. Well, I know real baking is rather using a recipe instead of a mix, and I hope I will change that someday. It also makes more fun to bake a cake from scratch...
AntwortenLöschenWell we all have to start somewhere! Also, if you do not do a lot of baking it is hard to keep all the ingredients on hand.
