Ein ganzes Regal voller Wein, mit Flaschenöffnern und jeder Menge Korken - durchaus passend für eine Postkarte nach Kalifornien, wo ein Großteil des amerikanischen Weins produziert wird.
I have visited the Napa Valley in California, it is wonderful. Every road you turn down there is another winery. But we have many wineries here in Minnesota too.
I admit that I have been a little surprised to read about wineries in Minnesota. I had thought the winters would be too strong for vine stocks there...
I actually have grapes in my backyard. They are very sour, but they make great jelly. You also see wines made from other fruits too: apple, raspberry, strawberry, etc.
Are those wines not made from grapes very popular there? They are available in Germany too, but not very known, maybe with the exception of Christmas Markets when hot fruit wines are served as an alternative to "Glühwein" (mulled wine).
