Paolo Veronese

Der italienische Renaissance-Maler Paolo Veronese auf einer Briefmarke aus Tschechien. Warum? Weil sein Portrait des Goldschmieds Jakob König auf der Prager Burg zu sehen ist - ganz einfach.

Mit 40x50 Millimeter ist die Briefmarke übrigens fast schon als riesig zu bezeichnen...

    I am not sure I understand. The painting is very small and the stamp of the painter is actually larger?

    Well, I do not know the size of the real painting, but the dimensions of the stamp are really above the average: About 1.5x2 inches!
