Ponte Vasco da Gama

Die längste Brücke Europas steht in... Portugal! Und das Beste: Die Fahrt über die 17 Kilometer lange Ponte Vasco da Gama kostet nur 2,65 Euro. Verglichen mit den 46 Euro auf der Öresundbrücke ist das mehr als nur günstig!

Die Briefmarke zeigt, daß es in Portugal bereits zur Eisenzeit sehenswerten Schmuck gab.

    I find the concept of bridges costing money to cross very strange. For the most part there are no toll roads here, though in the heart of the Twin Cities there are a few roads that are sort of toll roads.

    When traveling through Finnish Lakeland, you will notice that even the ferries are free: They are considered to be part of the road system - and much cheaper than bridges!
