Altes Feldberghaus

Die Postkarte ist angekommen. In anderen Ländern. Auf anderen Kontinenten. Nur nicht bei mir. Der Deutschen Post war es offensichtlich nicht möglich, auf eine Entfernung von 30 Kilometern eine sichere Zustellung zu gewährleisten!

Dann muß ich eben demnächst nochmal zum Feldberg - und wehe, es gibt diese historische Ansicht des Alten Feldberghauses (um 1900, siehe Schwarz-Weiß-Rot) nicht mehr!

    There was a strange sticker on the postcard. It was just a piece of it. It looked like the sort of sticker the US Post Office puts on mail with the wrong address or such, but my address was correct. Only a few letters are left on the scrap of sticker. I am not sure who put it on or pulled it off!

    Maybe it were the remnants of the blue "priority / airmail" sticker which I had put above your address?

    No, it was a yellow sticker along the bottom. It must have been put on by the US Post Office, because it is over the barcode they stamp on the bottom of all mail. The sticker has the barcode on it too. Maybe the wrong barcode was printed the first time?
