Suchet den Herrn

Jesaja 55,6: "Suchet den Herrn, solange er zu finden ist; rufet ihn an, solange er nahe ist." Über der Tür der Kirche von Tvøroyri auf den Färöern - übrigens in Dänisch und nicht in Färöisch.

    The Faroe Islands are a quite autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark, so Danish is an official language too. But in everyday live (like traffic signs...) you read almost always the other official language: Faroese. It is similar to Icelandic and spoken by only 50,000 people!
