  1. I think that Bosses movie was called Bad Bosses here. I thought it looked stupid. First of all advocating killing people seems wrong, even in some sort of comic jest. Secondly I am not fond of many of the actors in the movie.

  2. My preferences about movies are very different from what is offered in this drive-in cinema...

    By the way, the movies there illustrate that less and less film titles are translated to German nowadays. They believe English titles would attract more people!?

  3. Are the films themselves in German or are they subtitled? I don't see a lot movies that have been dubbed anymore, foreign films are usually subtitled.

  4. Mainstream movies are almost always in German, their English title is used only to appear more "attractive". Though, in art house cinemas you can find subtitled original versions more often. If I have the choice I always watch the subtitled version! I'm often surprised that already after some minutes I do not notice anymore that I'm currently "reading" the movie...

    By the way, if you talk about an "OmU" movie and someone understands you here, then you know that the other has the same attitude to movies: The abbreviation means "original with subtitles" (in German: Original mit Untertitel), something which only few people know...
