  1. It does look like what you would expect a stereotypical soldier to eat. (Though it does not sound like anything my brother-in-law ate in Iraq.) Is that a church ruin or is it not suppose to have a roof? Are the Hornets an adult team or a school team?

  2. The field kitchen belonged to the reservists' association of German army. They always take part in street festivals here since we had a small military facility until some years ago.

The church is a double church which has been destroyed during World War II. Only the smaller Dutch part (in the background) was rebuilt, whereas the Walloon part was saved as a memorial: http://is.gd/1aUGSA

The Hanau Hornets are an adult team which played in the German major league some years ago, but now their success has declined very much. Though, they still have a junior team and they are part of a larger club which has also a baseball team. Well, I have not watched an American football or baseball match yet.
