Die wilden 50er in Finnland

Im Jahr 2000 gab es im Kunstmuseum Tennispalatsi in Helsinki eine Photoausstellung namens Stadin nuoret: Die Jugend der Stadt im Laufe der Jahrzehnte: Wie man sieht, wurde in den wilden 50ern auch in Finnland Rock 'n' Roll getanzt...

    Sometimes I imagine my parents dancing like that, but I expect they might be too young.

    My parents did not dance rock 'n' roll either, but only slower dances. Well, I have never attended dancing school, so I haven't any connection to it... How about you?

    No, I can not dance. We did have a few classes in grade school physical education (phy ed). My father tried to teach me how to waltz and polka.
