    I thought I owned a copy of this, but I do not. The book I have has stories from Eastern Europe not Finland. I was a bit bummed!

    "Panslavionic Folk-Lore"

    BUT! The GERMAN title is: "A Hundred Genuine Popular Slavonic Fairy Stories in the Original Dialects" by Karel Jaromir Erben. It was originally published in Germany possibly sometime in the 1920's. The English translation is from 1930.

    Thank you, Ronda! I was so curious because I'm quite interested not only in Northern, but also in Eastern European Culture. I even have found your English book in the internet at http://is.gd/KarelErben. Well, I think when someday I will spend holidays in my neighboring country, the Czech Republic, this book (in German) will be a good preparation for that trip to become acquainted with the culture of the country. I will remember it then!
