Unangebautes Stück Land

Na, das ist ja mal eine Erkenntnis! Schon das Deutsche Wörterbuch der Gebrüder Grimm kennt das Wort Willerich und definiert es als ein "unangebautes Stück Land". Übrigens, in Deutschland gibt es 31 Telephonanschlüsse dieses Namens...

    Strange! There are more Kisners. Actually, there are even more Gilmers (my maiden name~which is Scottish).

    But there are no Willerichs in the USA, not a single one (according to http://www.gens-us.net/). Did you know that the most Kisners are living in West Virginia...?

    No, I did not know that. I will have to ask Rodney if he knew. I think is family is more directly from German than that. I know that there are Gilmers all over the place, though you have to go way back in the family tree to find where we are connected.
