Birken, Vögel und Mineralwasser

Zunächst dachte ich, es wäre eine Sammlung runder Briefmarken aus Finnland - aber nein, es ist ein wunderbarer Glasuntersetzer mit Birken, Vögeln und Vogelhäuschen! Kiitoksia paljon, Ulla!

Außerdem habe ich zwei neue Worte gelernt: Englisch coaster, finnisch lasinalunen.

    It is kind of a silly word. Coaster, that is.

    I would have thought a coaster is something or someone associated with the coast...

    You would also say that someone was "coasting along on a bike." Meaning something like "gliding".

    I was actually quite surprised when I looked up the word "coast". It has all sorts of meanings that I never really thought about before.
